Khalid Abdulla-Janahi is a leading financier, global strategy pundit, world traveler, and philanthropist. He is co-founder of the Maryam Forum Foundation (UK). Khalid chairs a family office, whose investment strategy focuses on venture and infrastructure, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Khalid advises numerous policy institutes and public institutions in Europe on initiatives related to governance reform in the greater Middle East and North Africa region. He previously served as co-chair of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on the Middle East and North Africa and vice chair of the Arab Business Council.
He completed his studies in Computer Science and Accounting at the University of Manchester. He launched an eighteen-year-long career at PriceWaterhouse (now PwC) as a Chartered Accountant in the UK and Bahrain, prior to becoming the CEO of Dar Al-Maal Al-Islami Trust, based in Geneva, Switzerland, and assuming the leadership and board membership of financial institutions in Europe the Middle East and Asia.
Matt Miller’s career reflects his commitment to bridging public and private sector efforts through innovative leadership and collaborative strategies. His work across diverse geographies and industries demonstrates his ability to navigate complex challenges and foster impactful partnerships.
Matt is a co-founder, Trustee, and Vice Chair of the Maryam Forum Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to fostering leadership in the public and private sectors. He is also a Senior Managing Director at Teneo, advising clients on reputation management and policy initiatives.
His career spans roles in developed and emerging markets, including Managing Director at Richard Attias & Associates, where he led business development in the Middle East and Africa, and as a Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum. Earlier, he worked as a management consultant with Oliver Wyman.
Matt is a YPO member. He holds degrees from Brown University, the Yale School of Management, and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London.
Erik Berglof is a reknowned scholar and global development economist. He is co-founder of the Maryam Forum Foundation (UK). He currently serves as Chief Economist of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
Prior to joining AIIB in September 2020, he was Director of the Institute of Global Affairs at the London School of Economics and Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development from 2006 to 2015.
He is an expert in transition economics and institutional transformation through private sector development. He holds a PhD in financial economics and an MA in business and economics, both from the Stockholm School of Economics.
One of the most experienced logistics executives in the industry, Allen previously served 36 years with the Deutsche Post DHL Group in various roles and capacities, including 13 years as a member of the board and three years as the CEO of DHL eCommerce solutions.
Best known for leading the global transformation of DHL Express for a decade, he is also a published author on how simplicity and focus in business can transform a company into a world-class performer.
